A perpetually sad jumping spider threatens to do as her name implies.
I found this Regal Jumping Spider ( Phidippus otiosus) on a tall Moon Flower vine in North Carolina. She was completely non aggressive and quite agreeable to a photo shoot. She is pictured here on a painters' ladder. :)
Given the strong resemblence of her markings to a very sad face and her proximity to the edge, she seems to be saying
