August/September 2018 - Donegal
This August 31 through September 2 I will be co-leading a two-day photography workshop in Donegal, Ireland along with John Dunne. This is a perfect opportunity for you to advance your photography skills while shooting alongside two award-winning photographers in a remote and amazingly beautiful location.
For guests coming from overseas, this workshop pairs well with our Causeway Coast workshop to give you a longer experience with a couple of days in between to recharge your batteries. Contact me directly for more details.
Donegal is a wild and enchanting location at the very northern tip of the Republic of Ireland. Known for its natural beauty, it boasts a wide range of photo opportunities - its rugged coastline of cliffs and beaches, a wind-battered lighthouse, Ireland's highest mountain, a shipwreck and historic ruins. This location is a photographer's playground.
On this two day photography workshops we will take you to the best spots at the best time of day. In each location we will be there to help you find the best angles from which to shoot and if you desire, to aid you in your photographic decisions - composition, lens choice, shutter speed, filters etc. The level of help you receive is entirely up to you.
This workshop is intended for intermediate to advanced photographers. You will be expected to have an understanding of how your camera works as well as basic exposure and composition. We will be there to help you make the most of this knowledge and help you move to the next level.
Your workshop leaders will be Athena Carey and John Dunne, two international award-winning photographers who have lead workshops and courses around the world with a wide range of participants – young and old, experienced and beginning photographers. Travel with them to discover and photograph the Copper Coast in Ireland.
In order to keep the workshops personal and to ensure that you will receive ample, individual attention from your instructors, only 10 spots are available for each one.
